Today I read the master's blog and mentioned why he writes blogs, which reminded me of this website again. Indeed, I never give up on giving up. On April 11, 2023, I wrote that I really didn't like my job at the time, and now I finally changed jobs. No longer need to sit in front of the phone in agony. However, the previous job also had parts that I liked, and now that I have lost it, I am starting to miss it. Of course, if I had to choose, I would definitely choose my current job.
Now I'm another year older, to be honest, I'm still very confused. Many people around me are getting married and having children, and I don't know what I should do. I tried to learn Python before, mastered the basic syntax, learned how to learn, wrote a few small scripts to automate some of the work, but now that I have changed jobs, I'll see what tasks can be automated or semi-automated when I have the opportunity. The biggest gain is actually the improvement in English. I can read technical documents fairly smoothly, have a certain level of confidence, so I dared to interview for my current job that requires English (at least that's what the job posting said). However, my vocabulary is still not enough. Just spent half an hour checking the word count for this sentence on Baidu, 4553. I searched and found out that you need about 12000 words to read newspapers fluently, while the average vocabulary of a native English-speaking college student is around 20000. I also tried reading literary originals before, and it was very painful.
I'm going to sleep now, was supposed to sleep early.
